WHO IS BECCA PIASTRELLI
Becca Piastrelli is a creativity coach, sisterhood circle space holder, podcaster, nature lover and
big believer in the importance of working with your hands. She helps women deepen their roots in sisterhood, creativity, and ancient feminine wisdom through her online programs The Creative Sisterhood, Gather and A Handmade Holiday; retreats, The Lunar Lab Podcast and 1:1 Coaching.
When Becca approached me she had been running a popular blog called “The Dabblist” for 4 years. The Dabblist started as a creative outlet for Becca while working in a Silicon Valley tech start-up. Creative expression (specifically creating with her hands and not typing on a computer) saved her from a life of boredom and perfection in corporate life. As Becca put it “I started blogging out of sheer desperation to be seen as more than just another blazer wearing, bags-under-her-eyes, latte (or martini) in hand corporate drone who didn’t have creative ideas of her own.” She started sharing what she made and watched her life transform. Then a year later she started helping women through this same transformation.
AS BECCA PUT IT IN A RECENT BLOG POST:
Four years on, and while the concept of Dabbling and helping women embrace their creativity was still an important part of what she did, she started to
realise that there was so much more within her. She was ready to rebrand under her name, Becca Piastrelli. As she put it “…after years of feeling fearful and uncreative, I had moved through dabbling into devotion…I am here with you in this new sacred internet space, claiming myself in a much bolder way. I am standing in the light for sisterhood, for your innate creativity, and for the ancient feminine wisdom that lives in our bones – guiding us back to a place of sacredness and truth…I’ve gotta say this new website and look means so much more to me than a pretty new logo, colors, and photos of me in the woods and garden. This change is BIG for me. It’s a claiming of myself and what I stand for in this world in a big and bold way that I’ve never quite allowed myself to do before. This feels brave, sister. My hands have been shaking, my dreams filled with anxiety, and my heart beating fast and hard. Hello, I’m Becca Piastrelli. I am more of myself than ever before, and I want you to see and be a part of it.” Read the full post here.
For many of us, rebranding is more than changing your look on the outside, it’s about owning the person you are evolving into, the person you dream of being, who makes the impact you want to make in the world. Claiming this space can naturally be a bit scary as it can be a big step forward in your business journey and how you see yourself. I was so
honoured to be part of this journey with Becca.
The logo was inspired by the idea of the connection to the earth, sisterhood and your roots. It featured a series of dots reflective of Becca’s sacred adornment practice painting her face.
“Emma – this is my very public love letter to you. <3 Working with you has been such a dream. You have taken me on a branding journey that has ended with a website that I’m absolutely in love with and people keep saying is so incredibly ME. That’s the biggest compliment – that my website doesn’t look or feel like anyone else but the very essence of who I am.
From Day 1, I appreciated your depth of presence and devotion to me and our work together. I know you had a full load of clients in addition to me, but I felt #1 in every interaction. I cannot thank you enough for this. If you are looking for an incredible branding specialist and designer, go no further than Soul Stirring Branding.” Becca Piastrelli
