Cris Sanhueza facilitates online art workshops for medical centers, non-profit organizations, and schools that support people’s well-being and creative expression, backed by her experience as an arts in health professional, social worker, and artist. She believes smooshing paint across canvas, stitching multicolored threads in and out, cutting out collage elements, and organizing colors becomes a form of meditation. It transforms us from overwhelmed and exhausted to being back in flow with life and remembering who we really are outside of our roles as “person experiencing loss,” “person with illness,” or “caregiver.”
Cris wanted to create a playful, creative, compassionate and uplifting energy, combined with a scholarly/knowledgeable side reflective of her years in academia and evidence-based approach. We identified 6 different ideal client segments, which was a unique challenge in that she was speaking to quite a diverse range of niches: cancer patients, Alzheimer’s patients, women navigating pregnancy loss, helping professionals, family caregivers and school and refugee organisations. Her work intersects the arts and public health, so she wanted that represented in the visual branding, Illustrations included paint brushes, hearts, brains and more.
