ABOUT THE CLIENT
Sharra Frank fell in love with mosaics over 20 years ago and has been hooked ever since! She’s helped thousands of students worldwide create mosaic art through her membership, courses and studio classes in Minneapolis. She also manufactures and sells her own mosaic frames, kits and original art. Sharra is known for her whimsical, contemporary style featuring fun themes like butterflies, chickens, owls and other cute creatures and her viral mosaic-making Instagram reels! Her mixed-media style features innovative mosaic materials like beads, china and glass.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
While Sharra’s business was doing amazing and she’d regularly post Instagram reels which would flood her with orders, she described her previous branding as “all over the place”, making it up as she went along and 20 years overdue for help.” She knew she really needed to start delegating and not doing everything herself, but felt paralysed and overwhelmed because she didn’t have a consistent look and feel she loved to enable someone else to easily step in and represent her brand the way she wanted. So she knew she needed help!
She wanted her brand and website to feel whimsical, feminine, warm, elegant , maximalist and charming. “Like they just walked into their favorite high-end art supply/gift shop, off a cobblestone street in a quaint touristy village. It’s like the best of Anthropologie, an antique shop, and art supplies merged. It’s saturated in color, texture, and natural light. They pause with a bit of awe as they look all around, soaking in all the color and texture that is flooding their senses.”
One of the things people absolutely fall in love with the most with mosaics is the treasure trove of materials they can play with – from vintage beads, china, glass and little forgotten details. The textures, the shine, the dimensionality—it’s so tactile and satisfying. So we wanted to champion this in the branding and had so much with all the beautiful details that really brought the brand to life.
